Went to Banff for my birthday! It was off season, so a bit empty and some snow but we were lucky to get sun and meet great friends in the hostel! Honestly the best time to go is off season from what I was told – It starts snowing in September until April-ish, and summer is only July and August. July and Aug. is packed with tourists so you can’t even enjoy the tranquil scenery or quaint town due to the amount of people blocking the streets.

Hiked in the snow, went to the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Art Festival, went on runs in the freezing weather, but didn’t see a moose 😦 If you ever want to be inspired by the extreme athletes/extreme adventure seekers, I highly recommend attending this festival.
